Venture Beat

A portal for iPhone developers

A two-man team of one Web developer and one writer have created the iPhone site I’ve been hoping for. 148apps.biz isn’t about coding, it’s about business. The site claims to “cover everything related to development, marketing, public relations, finance, and customer support side of iPhone Applications. Essentially business development info for people involved in the app business.”

Site founder Jeff Scott already runs 148apps.com, a review and news site. (148 apps was a storage limit in earlier iPhone software.) Scott’s obsessive coverage goes so far as to list price drops on entries in Apple’s App Store. Scott keeps automated data on the App Store, which now holds around 40,000 apps. Good to know for anyone dreaming of iPhone app riches.
